Water Abstracts

A few years ago, I started taking pictures of reflections in various bodies of water  The results fascinated me.  Our mind plays tricks on us, and we tend to see what we think we should see, but on taking a close look, beyond what you ‘think‘ you see, you will be surprised.  These pictures were taken with a point-and-shoot digital camera, zooming in on small sections of the water, in a harbor full of sailboats on an overcast, slightly breezy day.   The only manipulation was a slight sharpening of details, a little extra contrast and deleting a few distracting spots.  I love the abstract quality of these pictures. Motion frozen in time.
